Mom didn't end up having surgery today. She told the doctor about slipping and wrenching her foot a couple weeks ago and that it doesn't hurt as bad anymore, so they decided to nix the surgery. In pre-op. I hate her doctor, I know Mom doesn't want to have surgery, but I really feel like something needs to be done. I've offered to find the best ortho in the state and drive her there (on my dime), but she refuses. You can lead a horse to water, I suppose... I worry about it quite a bit, but I need to come to terms with the fact that I can't help her if she refuses to accept said help. God grant me the serenity, right? Right.
We got home and took Sadie out on her Flexi so she could play in the yard for a while. This dog is seriously never as happy as she is when there's snow on the ground. Ever. See for yourself:

And that last picture is probably going to end up getting framed. That picture is a tangible representation of Sadie's personality. I love it.
We're off to Mom's for tonight anyway. Mark REALLY wants to go up and spend the night in the camper. I would rather be at home, but I'll give him one night. We'll be back tomorrow, assuming Sadie doesn't drag us off into the wild blue yonder in search of more snow to play in.

I'm sorry the surgery didn't happen as you would have liked. It's so frustrating to get all the way into pre-op!
GREAT pictures of Sadie, she is adorable!
Ug - sorry about your mom's surgery, I hope you get it resolved.
I love that last picture of Sadie - you can totally tell she's smiling!
How crappy about your mom's surgery: I know how frustrating it is when they don't listen to you.
She's definitely a snow-dog (breed and all) :-)
The Boy loves his snow too! Hates the rain, hates getting his back wet, but will tunnel through the snow like nobody's business. :)
WHAT? No surgery? Maybe it will straighten itself out without the surgery? Any chance of that? I wouldn't want a doctor that I didn't like anywhere near someone I love. Aren't there other options for doctors? Bring Sadie here to Michigan...we've got snow!!! Hugs, Paula
I can't believe how much she loves the snow. My dogs always hated it, but maybe they spent too much time in Florida and they weren't used to it!
She's absolutely smiling! Too cute. Dogs are so awesome, you're lucky to have one and she's so lucky to have you and DH.
